An Idea for the Reason of Rising Health Care

One reason that Doctors have to charge so much is because of their Health Insurance. A major cost is their Insurance mainly because of fraudulent lawsuits, people wanting something for nothing. Ask your doctor or ask a doctor how much a year they pay for insurance, then ask them the number one reason that number is so high.

An Idea is: someone files a malpractice suit, they can not sue. Now how this would work, the case would be brought before a board made up of 9 (this number could be more or less) members from a 2 doctors, 2 insurance agents, 2 lawyers, 2 blue collar workers and one rotating board member, different every time. Each hospital would have a board like this and every doctor must be associated with a hospital. Even for private practices. So someone files a malpractice suit, the case will go before the board. At this point, the board will decide if it is a legitimate case or not. If it is not a legitimate suit, then it is thrown out automatically. But if it is a Legitimate suit, then they board will decide if the Doctor is guilty. If the doctor is guilty, the individual's medical bills from that doctor is waived. They owe nothing to the doctor and if any thing has been paid, the payee will be reimbursed. Now the doctor is fined $10,000 dollars (These number may be different, depending, but remember it is just a proposal) and that money goes directly to the hospital that the case was affiliated with, and this is marked on the Doctors Record.

Now if this is the Second time a malpractice suit is brought before the board for the same doctor, then the process is the same. But if they doctor is found guilty of malpractice, then the client will have the bills waived to that doctor and the doctor will be fined $30,000 and the money will again go to the hospital that the case is associated with or the doctor is associated with. The doctor now has a second mark on his record.

A Third time, well it will again follow the same process, but if they are found guilty, they are fined $100,000 to go to the associated hospital and their physician licenses is revoked. They are no longer allowed to practice medicine in any state in the United States.

Now this is going to take care of all fraudulent lawsuits on these doctors. This will make the doctors clients really think before they file a malpractice suit. Plus now there is a process to look at facts, look at what took place and decide if it is legitimate and not have everyone wanting something for nothing. Now you say, what good does this do, what benefit does anyone get for filing a case now? Many things, one is this will lower the price of health insurance to the individual. Then it will lower the cost of insurance to the doctor resulting in the doctor making the same wage while lowering the cost of service to the individuals. Less time in case labor and only legitimate cases come to the board. Also if the client does win, they save on medical bills and also sets up a way to keep the doctors doing the very best they can and protects individuals down the road.

Now I know I am not perfect, and I make legitimate mistakes sometimes (NO ONE Makes No Mistakes, No One), but if I make a mistake it cost a some time or even some money, but we expect doctors to be perfect, but they are just human like you and I. This system puts checks and balances into the medical field. This system determines whether it was an honest mistake, not a mistake at all, something the client did, if it could have been prevented, does the doctor continue to do the same thing, and if it is a legitimate suit.

After all the main goal is to make sure we have the best health care possible, we get the best service and that it does not break the bank to get it.

I love our quality of Health Care. America has the best Health Care in the world, now does that mean it can not get better? Absolutely not, there is always room for improvement, always. But letting the government run health care..... look around and see what we would be losing, look around to see who is going to pay for it, look around and see what they do that we are happy about now! Is anything for FREE? Again who is going to pay for this "free" health care? We are, you and I, we are going to pay for it by increased gas tax, other increased taxes, loss of service, lack of service and loss of standard of living. If the government can say what hospitals you can and can not go to, how are you going to go on vacation (if you can afford gas)? What happens if you get sick out of town? No one is asking these questions, no one is researching how other countries are doing it. Again, I believe that we have the best health care in the world, and I have had months in hospitals and years of personally dealing with doctor and physical therapists and more, and I do not want to see it depreciate. I want to continue to see it get even better. So before you say "I support "free" health care, government run health care", think, ask yourself some of the questions above, Do Some Research, Find out what the candidates really mean and stand for and make a decision on Facts not catch words of "Hope" and "Change". Make a choice on "Think" and "Common Sense"! Ask yourself, would a suggestion like the one I just read, work? And then ask yourself, what can I do to make our system better?! What Ideas do you have to make our current system better?
